Glensaugh (Cosmos)

Also known as cosmos/GLENS

The Glensaugh Farm is run by the James Hutton Institute to provide facilities for agricultural and land use research. It is located at the southern edge of the Grampian Highlands. The farm is comprised of permanent pasture, improved pasture/arable, and semi-natural/moorland communities. The COSMOS-UK site is located on a south facing slope, within the last of these communities, in an area that is a complex patchwork of acid grassland and heather. The COSMOS-UK site at Glensaugh is the most northerly and highest within the network.
