Multi-trophic biodiversity assessment using high throughput DNA sequencing of environmental DNA (eDNA) in freshwater ponds

DNA amplicon sequencing of the bacterial 16S rRNA marker gene, fungal ITS marker region, plant ITS marker region, general Eukaryotic marker region and general Eukaryotic Cytochrome Oxidase subunit 1 marker gene(COX1) were used to describe the bacterial, fungal, plant and microbial and macrobial eukaryotic communities communities from a network of freshwater ponds in Oxfordshire. The EIDC data summary will be accompanied by a raw sequencing data record archived at the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/browser/home.
