Nitrogen, Carbon and Phosphorus in soils (N14CP)

N14CP predicts the effects of land management and nitrogen deposition (from air pollution) on soils, specifically: the long-term development of soil organic matter; and fluxes of nitrogen, carbon, and phosphorus nutrients through soil. It is used by researchers to analyse long-term, large scale impacts of land use change, air pollution and agricultural practices on soil carbon and greenhouse gas emissions. N14CP also provides the core soil module for other UKCEH models (see Capabilities).
