The Henfaes Research Centre is the main field facility of Bangor University's School of Environment, Natural Resources and Geography. The COSMOS-UK site is located in an upland area that is operated as a commercial sheep unit within the Centre for Hill and Upland Management. The site is situated on silty mineral soils with a high organic matter content.
