Glenwherry

Also known as cosmos/GLENW

This site is located at the CAFRE (College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise) Hill Farm Centre in Glenwherry, midway between Ballymena and Larne. The ~1000 ha farm comprises 100 suckler cows and 1100 breeding ewes and strives to demonstrate effective integration of livestock and environmental management. The soils near the COSMOS-UK site have very high organic carbon and low bulk density.
