Historic (1750-present) and future (present-2100) spatially distributed emissions of cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni) and zinc (Zn) for the UK, generated from a range of sources including historical data, maps, proxy information such as census records and population information. Also emissions of ammonia (NH3), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), sulphur dioxide (SOx), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matter PM (for the same time period).
Data for the historic period to present will be modelled at a 1km x 1km spatial resolution over GB, at a decadal time resolution (and annually from 1990), Future emissions are estimated by trending the activity in key source areas (e.g. combustion in power generation, agricultural activity) via stakeholder and expert groups, for 5 shared socio-economic pathways up to 2100. Data will be interpolated between three years (2040, 2070 and 2100).
