The fieldwork experiments were carried out from March to October 2024. Moths were captured and then released in different lighting environments. From each release the time to move, type of movement and direction of movement was recorded. Through the analysis of the behavioural responses in variable lighting environments, we can gauge the impact of their variation on moth behaviour. The fieldwork was carried out by Maisy Inston, Charlie Rayner and Jon Bennie. To ensure the integrity of the data, in the event of adverse weather conditions, the fieldworking was cancelled and any collected moths were
