Phosphorus data was produced in the field using a Systea Micromac C auto-analyser. Nitrate was monitored by UV absorption using a Hach Lange Nitratax Plus probe. The other physical parameters and total chlorophyll were monitored using a YSI 6600 sonde. The monitoring site installation, telemetry / data collection and maintenance / calibration of the YSI probe was conducted by the Environment Agency's National Water Quality Instrumentation Service. Data processing was carried out by CEH and the University of Reading.
