Rainfall was collected automatically using a typing bucket raingauge. For the two forested plots, throughfall was measured daily using 66 funnel gauges and automatically using three troughs, and stemflow was collected daily. Soil moisture was measured automatically at different depths below the surface. Runoff was collected in drums below bounded runoff plots and measured daily.
