Results are provided for two simulations (A and B). Simulation A used a van Rijn sediment transport formulation and depth-dependent Chezy roughness law. Simulation B used an Engelund-Hanson sediment transport formulation and constant (depth-independent) Chezy roughness. In both simulations, the model was initialized with a flat bed and using banklines that were digitized for an 8 km reach of the South Saskatchewan River, Canada located immediately downstream of the town of Outlook, Saskatchewan. The model domain measures 800 cells (downstream) by 300 cells (cross-stream). Cell dimensions are 10 m (downstream) by 5 m (cross-stream). Simulations were run for 28 years using an inlet hydrograph based on gauged flow conditions for the South Saskatchewan River.
