There were two treatments, zero nitrogen and 100% nitrogen being 16.12 g of urea replicates and four replicates. Plants were grown under LED lights in a controlled environment growth room. At six weeks a Dualex hand held meter was used to assess chlorophyl content and nitrogen balance index. Plant height and tiller number were recorded and then the shoots were cut, dried for two days and shoot dry weight measures with a balance.
