This series contains field collected data from ecologically important habitats across Dorset. Data come from calcareous, heathland and woodland habitats. Sites were selected that were known to have undergone land use change in the past 80 years and had a perceived habitat condition gradient from Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) quality through to fully degraded, established using historical surveys and contemporary spatial datasets. Data relate to ecosystem services - pollination and carbon sequestration (soil and vegetation chemistry) and habitat quality (botanical data). Data were collected using standard methods (transect walks, soil, biomass and vegetation sampling)." ;
