Records cover September 2009 and March 2010 and include sampling date and time (dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm (24 hour format)), water temperature (Degrees Centigrade), stream height (metres) and discharge (metres cubed per second). Meteorological data for the Siksik catchment, North West Territories, Canada at Longitude: 133. 26' 26' W, Latitude: 68. 44' 17'N Elevation: 85 metres, Watershed area: ~1 kilometre squared, time zone: Mountain Standard Time. Daily air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, dew point and precipitation data was taken from http://climate.weather.gc.ca. Climate data was used to estimate actual vapour pressure and surface resistance using FAO methods. Potential evapotranspiration was estimated using the data and the Penman-Monteith method. Albedo was estimated using hobo shortwave sensor. Thaw depth was estimated using observations and the square root of degree day temperature. Thaw volume was based on thaw depth estimates. Soil samples were collected in September 2014 along a transect in the Siksik catchment, North West Territories, Canada (Longitude: 133. 26' 26' W, Latitude: 68. 44' 17'N Elevation: 85 metres). Soil pH and bulk density (in grammes per cubic centimetre) data was produced from the samples. Soil temperatures were measured at 5 cm depth (below the ground surface) using Onset 12-bit Temperature Smart sensors. Air temperature and/or relative humidity (RH) were measured at approximately 0.5 m above the ground surface and shielded from radiation using the Onset solar radiation screen. If air temperature alone was measured, this was using Onset 12-bit Temperature Smart sensors, otherwise air temperature/RH were measured using Onset 12-bit Temperature/Relative Humidity Smart sensors. Surface wetness was measured at the lichen heath location using Onset Leaf wetness smart sensor. Volumetric water content (VWC) was also measured at 5 cm depth (from the ground surface) using ECH2O EC-5 volumetric moisture sensors using factory calibration - where possible in both hummock and inter hummock positions. All measurements were made at 10 minute intervals. Data are continuous with no gap-filling."
