Earthworms were purchased from a commercial supplier (Blades Biological, Kent, UK). \n\nFour test replicates, each containing 10 worms were used per treatment (3 teabag types, each at 4 concentrations: none, 0.02% w/w, 0.04% w/w, 0.06% w/w). \n\nSurvival and body weight were recorded on days 0 (start) and day 28 of the experiment.
