Samples for pH and alkalinity readings were poured in a glass bottle. Samples for Phosphorus soluble reactive were filtered in the field. Unfiltered samples were used for the rest of determinands. Samples were then sent to Thames Water for analysis. They used the Seal discrete analyser to determine values for Alkalinity pH 4.5, Ammonia, Chloride-ion, Nitrate, Phosphorus soluble reactive (SRP), Silicate reactive dissolved (SRD) and Sulphate. pH and Conductivity probes were used for those two determinands. A duplicate and a QC sample were sent each week to Thames Water to compare results obtained by the laboratories. The data were quality controlled by Thames Water.
