The tracks were recorded between May and November 2024. Hedgehog surveys were performed to find candidate hedgehogs. If the hedgehogs met strict guidelines, they were fitted with a GPS tracker then released. Ad libitum surveys were then performed to connect to the trackers and recover the data and, where possible, retrieve the trackers. By analysing the resulting tracks, in relation at artificial light at night (ALAN) present in the environment, we can gauge the impact of ALAN on hedgehog behaviour and habitat use.
