Data transformation consisted of collating the datasets for each logger each year into a single dataset. Data were transformed in two ways. First, readings from broken or damaged loggers were removed and now appear as NA in the dataset. Second, in some cases (0.26% of the total observations), one temperature reading in a logger was repeated several times (e.g. two observations for logger B1 on 21/12/2023 12:15:00). In cases where these repetitions represented the same temperature value (0.16% of the total), one observation in the dataset was retained. In cases where these repetitions included different values, the modal value was retained.
