The M9 uses 9 transducers at frequencies between 0.5 and 3.0 MHz. The accuracy of M9 velocity measurements is +/-1 cm/s. Data were collected along cross-sections of the river that extended between both banks and were aligned approximately perpendicular to the downstream flow direction. Velocities reported here are the two horizontal components of the depth-averaged velocity.
