In both experiments, the effects of three types of coloured noise were investigated and compared to constant temperature conditions: blue noise (characterized by rapid (negatively autocorrelated) fluctuations), red noise (characterized by slow (positively autocorrelated) fluctuations) and white noise (characterized by random fluctuations).
