Raw images were processed in Agisoft Metashape following a standard structure-from-motion workflow: images were first aligned to estimate camera positions and generate a sparse point cloud, followed by the construction of a dense point cloud for detailed surface reconstruction, and finally generating the five-band orthomosaics (Blue, Green, Red, Red Edge, Near-Infrared) at high spatial resolution. These data were collected to quantify drought-induced canopy defoliation and forest structural degradation following extreme Hyperdrought events in 2019 and 2021. The drone captured five spectral bands (Blue, Green, Red, Red Edge, Near-Infrared) at a spatial resolution of approximately 6.5 cm/pixel. Raw image files were processed in Agisoft Metashape software to generate georeferenced orthomosaics for each flight. Quality assurance steps included: (1) visual inspection of orthomosaics for artefacts, seam lines, and alignment errors; and (2) consistency checks across overlapping flight lines to ensure complete coverage of the images over the ground. Final orthoimagery was exported in GeoTIFF format with per-band digital number (DN) values ranging from 0 to 65535, accompanied by an RGB visualization recommended using Band 3 (Red), Band 2 (Green), and Band 1 (Blue) with min-max stretches of 0-3000.
