The forest plot used for the simulations consists of a 40 x 40 m Pinus ponderosa plot scanned with a Riegl-VZ400i in Sycan Marsh, Oregon, USA, during the summer of 2019. Each layer was then voxelized at 20 cm for simulations 1 and 2 and 10 cm for simulation 3, and each voxel was assigned a layer-specific averaged bulk density value. Then the voxels were converted into Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) BDF input files.\n\nFire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) 6.9.1 was used to run three wildfire simulations.
