This dataset contains information on the breeding outcome, breeding site occupancy, and breeding site quality for a sample of common guillemots breeding on the Isle of May, Scotland. Data is available for all attributes from 1981-2018. Provenance & quality
All data derives from field observations of common guillemots on the Isle of May by experienced observers from the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. Observations of breeding success, site quality and site occupancy were carried out in five long-term study areas (sub-colonies). All observation data were proofed before entering the full dataset and processed as per the accompanying metadata and supporting information.
