AgZero+

This collection contains spatial datasets generated through AgZero+, a collaborative research programme focused on supporting the UK's transition towards domestic food production that is sustainable, carbon neutral and has a positive effect on nature.

The datasets draw on information from national sensor networks, satellites, surveys and study farms to provide insights into agricultural landscapes, land management, environmental assets and recreational use. The datasets can be used to explore patterns over space and time, to contextualise farms or landscapes, and as input to models of environmental risk and benefit.

By bringing together national-scale datasets, the collection supports researchers, farmers and other stakeholders in understanding interactions between food production, the environment and society, and exploring practical pathways towards achieving "net zero plus" arable and livestock farming systems.

AgZero+ draws on contributions from the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH), Rothamsted Research, the British Geological Survey, Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the National Centre for Earth Observation, alongside industry, government and charitable partners, with funding provided by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) (grant award number NE/W005050/1).
