The dataset contains the logger data from water loggers installed in five UK blanket bog sites: Moor House, Upper Teesdale, England. Flow Country, Forsinard Flows sites Crocach and Nam Breac, Scotland. Flow Country Braemore and Langwell Estate, Scotland. Migneint, Snowdonia, Wales. Within each site, loggers are placed at locations identified as near natural, under restoration and drained. The dataset contains recordings converted into water table depth from each logger from 2021 to 2023.

Provenance & quality
Each In-situ Rugged Troll 100 data logger is hung from a nail or screw at the top of a perforated PVC dipwell tube that is cut to size depending on the peat depth. To prevent peat encroachment into the tube, the tube is covered by a tight. A wire mesh is secured to the top. The tube height above the peat surface is recoded as well as the length of the wire from eye to base of the logger. An additional barologger is also installed in each site, apart from Forsinard Flows where the RSPB's barologger data was used.
Data is collected by manually downloading using a docking station using In-situ software.
