Lineage
These data were collected by variety of staff at the Moor House Research Station on behalf of the Wear and Tees River Board and the National Rivers Authority (NRA) and stored in a database at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (as described by Cuthbertson, M. (1993). A database for environmental research programmes. Journal of Environmental Management, 37 (1993), pp. 291-300). Note: There is a large peak in the discharge values in March 1979; there were no notes about this within in the database but it may be related to snow melt following a major snow event in the UK.
