Long term soil metal reactivity

Download/Access
This dataset is currently being generated and is expected to become available by 31 March 2023
This dataset comprises measurements of the chemical reactivity of trace elements (nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium, lead and arsenic) over time following their addition (as soluble salts) to each of five UK soils of contrasting physicochemical composition and incubation under controlled conditions of temperature and moisture in the laboratory. Measurements consist of the geochemically reactive pool (measured by isotopic dilution for all except arsenic, and by phosphate extraction for arsenic), and the pH, dissolved organic carbon and dissolved trace element concentrations in porewater extractions of the moist soils.

This work was supported by the Natural Environment Research Council award number NE/R016429/1 as part of the UK-SCAPE programme delivering National Capability.

THIS DATASET IS BEING GENERATED AND IS EXPECTED TO BECOME AVAILABLE IN MARCH 2023.
