This dataset consists of a single orthophoto mosaic image of Irontongue Hill on Swineshaw Moor. The area of interest includes seven erosion plots (approximately 5 x 5 m) which were set up on 26/07/2018 to capture the state of the burnt moorland surface and monitor subsequent erosion and vegetation recovery. The area of interest is approximately 0.45 km2.

Provenance & quality

The orthophoto mosaic was generated from 786 separate image files captured using a DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone on 29th July 2019. A dense SfM point cloud was generated in Agisoft Metashape. Ground Control Point coordinates were used to scale and georeference the point clouds based upon the dGPS coordinates. The DEM dense point cloud and orthomosaic were exported to ARcGIS and projected in OSGB co-ordinates and resampled at 5 x 5 cm ground resolution before being resaved as a final .tif file.
