Multiscale soil structures are measured using X-ray computed tomography and optical sensor; soil physical properties were measured using pressure chamber and tension infiltration meter; greenhouse emissions are concentrations of various gases measured using Gasmet- a device for measuring gas concentration; microbial data are measured using functional assays.
