Riparian sites characterisation (UK and international) 2022-2025 data

This is a series of datasets associated with the project 'Change at the Riparian Reactive Interface' (CARRI). Datasets characterise sites in Scotland and England in space and time, and partner organisation sites in Sweden (Krycklan research catchment) and Germany (Harz mountains), described from one-off sampling. The project sought to assess the stocks, reactivity of C, N and P in diverse riparian systems and the susceptibility to environmental change of these coupled macronutrient cycles. The datasets currently available include pedology and soil characterisation of six UK riparian observatories for 2023-2024.

The CARRI project was funded by NERC between 2022-26 and was a collaboration between The James Hutton Institute, Lancaster Environment centre at Lancaster University and international partners UFZ, Liepzig and SLU, Umea.
