Provenance & quality
The contour lines were digitised from the following scanned topographic map: Plynlimon Catchment Areas - Severn Catchment. Sheet No. 1. Scale 1:5000. Wallingford, Berkshire. Institute of Hydrology, Natural Environmental Research Council, 1968. Natural Environmental Research Council. The contours were recorded as a series of points by Edinburgh University. They were converted into lines by CEH using ArcGIS 10 geo-processing tools.
