Bird breeding records and data from an experimental manipulation of local population density in Wytham Woods, UK, 2020-2021
The data were collected as part of a long-term population monitoring project on the breeding biology and behaviour of birds, and as part of a project on the ecology of behavioural contagion in natural systems. The dataset consists of bird ringing records, bird breeding records, and PIT-tag recordings of birds discovering novel food patches in relation to experimentally manipulated local population densities. Data collection took place in Wytham woods, Oxfordshire, UK in 2020 and 2021. The work was supported by the Natural Environment Research Council (Grant NE/S010335/1).
