This file contains 1-min resolution data for Whim Bog NH3 release system activation, wind speed and direction as well as NH3 concentrations, temperature and relative humidity (RH) (not all sensors have them) from six miniaturized NH3 sensors, five were electrochemical-based (TB600B-NH3-10, ECtox-50-NH3, PS1-10-NH3 and the AM1 LC and AM2 HC) and one chemiresistive (MELBA) measured between July 2024 and August 2024. The NH3 concentrations were compared against an spectroscopic Picarro G2103 NH3 analyzer, to assess their feasability in outdoor monitoring conditions, under both ambient and high NH3 concentration levels.

Provenance & quality
The data was generated as part of a NH3 sensor intercomparison carried out at Whim Bog using 6 miniaturized NH3 sensors and a Picarro NH3 analyzer placed next to each other. Three sensors operating without pumping method were housed into a protective enclosure and had an external pump sampling external air at 5.5 L min-1, while the remaining sensors were sampling using the supplier enclosure to sample ambient air directly into the sensor. All concentrations are expressed in ppm NH3, and all the data was checked through QA/QC processes that ensured the sensors and the Picarro analyzer were operating under the right conditions.
