Water quality data from 26 Ribble and Wyre river basin sites in north west England. Samples were analysed for major solutes, pH, Gran alkalinity, trace metals, mercury and chlorophyll.

Provenance & quality

Water samples were collected from bridges using a weighted polypropylene sampler. In the field, water temperature was directly recorded at the times of sampling and notes taken on weather, field conditions and water height.
