Provenance & quality
The chloroplast DNA marker data are derived from Acacia senegal samples collected by CEH and partner organisations (Kenya Forestry Research Institute [KEFRI] and Institut Sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles [ISRA]) staff. The samples were collected from 297 mature trees in 66 sites across its natural range in sub-Saharan Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, Pakistan and India. A detailed A detailed description of the datasets, including methodology and discussion of the findings can be found in the following peer-reviewed article: Odee, D. W., Telford, A., Wilson, J., Gaye, A., & Cavers, S. (2012).
