Bacterial and fungal community composition from 215 epilithic biofilms collected from English rivers in 2016.

Download/Access
DNA amplicon sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene and the ITS gene region were used to describe the bacterial and fungal communities from 215 rock surface (epilithic) biofilm samples collected from rivers across England in 2016 as a part of the Environment Agency's (EA) river ecology monitoring programme. The EIDC data summary will be accompanied by a raw sequencing data record archived at the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/browser/home.
